There is always a layer of fog on the glass. Is it a performance that is not good enough?

[China Glass Net] The basic production process of insulating glass consists of glass cleaning, molecular sieve, butyl sealant coating, splicing, and second sealing glue. Every aspect is related to the choice of materials, the proficiency of the operators and the quality of the work.

Glass cleaning

Cleaning glass is the first step in the production of insulating glass, and it is also one of the more important links to ensure the sealing of insulating glass. If the oil and sweat on the glass cannot be thoroughly cleaned, the adhesion of the sealant to the glass will be greatly weakened, thereby reducing the sealing effect of the insulating glass. In the current production, many manufacturers, especially small manufacturers, often pay insufficient attention to cleaning glass, resulting in a large number of unqualified products entering the market.

2. Desiccant selection
The nature of the desiccant must be taken into account when selecting the desiccant. The choice of desiccant is directly related to the type of insulating glass glue selected and must be considered in combination.

The failure of the edge sealing of the insulating glass means that the door and window lose their proper function, not only the energy-saving performance of the door and window can not meet the requirements, but also the consumer can not see the outside through the fogging air layer, affecting the transparency of the insulating glass, and reducing the separation. Thermal effect. Long-term fogging may cause mildew or alkali accumulation on the inner surface of the glass, resulting in white spots, which seriously affect the appearance quality of the insulating glass. It can be seen that the selection of high quality insulating glass sealant is the key to prevent fogging of insulating glass.

The selected insulating glass sealant should meet the requirements of national or industry standards, and the front and second sealants of the double-layer insulating glass should be suitable, not mutually soluble or reactive, otherwise the glass surface may be contaminated or even aged.

3. Double-layer insulating glass coating

The splicing is the middle ring of the double-layer insulating glass. The application of the butyl rubber before the bonding determines the overall quality of the insulating glass. If there is a gap between the two sealants, it will cause air leakage. At the same time, care should be taken to apply a thin second sealant. After being installed and used for a period of time, the sealant will form cracks due to changes in ambient temperature, sun exposure and wind pressure. Even with very small cracks, moisture may slowly enter the glue layer to form fogging. The sealant loses its sealing effect.

In addition to the fogging phenomenon caused by some quality problems in the formal insulating glass factory, some consumers unilaterally pursue low-priced products, and they also get some unscrupulous vendors to take advantage of. They use double-sided tape to directly bond two pieces of glass and then apply them. On the ordinary cheap glass glue, posing as hollow glass, this kind of glass not only has no sound insulation effect, and it will cause fogging when it encounters wet weather. Once the fogging of the insulating glass occurs, it is basically impossible to repair and can only be replaced.
